In preparation for the second stage of experimentation the of the Phenotypos Platform’s functionality, the project team move to we are growing and segregating populations of carob germplasm waiting for their screening on PHENOTYPOS platform.

Twenty-five carob mother plants were selected from which around 250 carob trees were produced. The plants will be screened for physiological and agronomical traits related to drought. The segregated population along with the mother plants will be genotyped using NGS technologies.
