Fisheries
The scope of the project is to provide services for the preparation of the interim evaluation of the Operational Fisheries Programme (OFP) 2007-2013 of Cyprus, under Articles 47 and 49 of Regulation (EC) 1198/2006 and Article 27 of Regulation (EC) 498/2007. The interim evaluation is to examine the effectiveness of the OFP 2007-2013, with a view to adapting it to improve the quality and implementation of the provision of funding. Through the mid-term review provided an opportunity for the EU Members to refocus the program to ensure a greater degree to achieve the original objectives as set in the National Strategic Plan for Fisheries 2007-2013. The purpose of the interim evaluation is to obtain conclusions from the results of the first year of program implementation and then used to adjust the content of the program that the proposed measures to meet the needs of the fishing sector, as currently configured. The findings of the interim evaluation are expected to affect the second part of the implementation, in order to improve the relevance and effectiveness of the program.
