Atlantis has provided consultancy services to Lanitis Group for the preparation of Coca Cola Ltd in securing the European Water Stewardship Certification. The company has achieved the Platinum Certification, which is the highest possible rating.  The European Water Stewardship is a framework for water users to understand their water use and impacts, and to work collaboratively and transparently for sustainable water management within a river basin context. Within the scope of the project ATLANTIS has helped the company to prepare appropriate policies and to document its policies and performance against the EWS defined indicators.

EWS was developed by the European Water Partnership and was launched in the European Parliament in 2011. The standard verifies good water management practices and compliance with EU legislation, promotes systematic risk assessment and facilitates transparency and stakeholder engagement. ATLANTIS, through its collaboration with EWS in the EU funded project INNOWATER, has helped to assess the standard during its development and was trained in EWS audit and implementation.
